My Top Baby Registry Must Haves

Are you not sure what to put on your baby registry? Getting overwhelmed by all the different baby brands? Here are a few ideas from a mother of 2!

Congratulations! You’re pregnant or you’re looking to buy something for someone who is pregnant! If so, I would like to help guide you to products that you might really like. All of these products I talk about are products I have used for my own children and absolutely love.

It is such an overwhelming feeling to find out you’re pregnant. I remember feeling so much happiness but also feeling scared. I was scared about making the wrong decisions or not being prepared. It was a feeling like I have never felt before and that feeling continued to show up daily. My husband and I really struggled that first month. We were both just overwhelmed with emotion. It truly got better after a little while and then we really started planning.

Building a registry was something I was really excited to do! I set up my registry on Amazon and then just went crazy. Searching for every baby item I could think of. Something I didn’t realize when I was pregnant with my first is, how many baby products and name brands there are. It’s crazy. I immediately got flooded with emotion. How do I pick the best products for my baby? After 2 babies and some research, I created a list of items for you to put on your registry!

Bassinet

This is the Mika Micky Bassinet and I used this for both my girls. I absolutely LOVE this bassinet. It rolls right up and you can actually strap the bassinet to your bed. It is super roomy for your babies and the mattress is SOO comfortable. You can also buy the Mika Mickey Waterproof Fitted Sheet. This sheet is so soft and protects the mattress really well. They are also super cute!

Changing Pads/Covers

This is the Contoured Changing Pad. I don’t use anything fancy when it comes to a changing pad. It’s very comfortable for baby and there are many different changing covers that you can choose. The ones I use are Vextronic Changing Pad Cover. This cover is SOO soft and they look super cute in the nursery!

Car Seat/Stroller

This is the Graco Modes Pramette Car Seat/Stroller. My husband and I love this duo! The stroller is super easy to use and the car seat is so nice. Also, the car seat easily clips into the stroller. Highly recommend!

Bottles

My first recommended bottle is the Philips Avent Anti-Colic. These bottles are super easy to clean and both of my daughters loved them. Depending on your baby though, they might prefer a different bottle. Another bottle I recommend is the Dr. Brown’s Natural Flow. These are also a great bottle! They have a little more parts than I would prefer but my babies loved these also. They both flow really nicely and don’t build up too much pressure.

Nursing Pillow

I absolutely loved my Boppy nursing pillow. I used it all the time. When my babies were first born I used it for support. It supported my arm, the baby, and my back. As they got older, I used it to sit them up. My children loved to sit in it and play. It is a great way to introduce sitting.

Burp Cloths/Receiving Blankets

These are a MUST for your registry. It is something you are going to use all the time and you can’t have too many of these. Ask for a lot! Both of my girls spit up a TON. Like projectile vomit daily. My go to burp cloths are the Comfy Cubs Muslin Burp Cloths. They are the perfect size and are very absorbent. They are also super soft, perfect for your babies sweet soft cheeks. I also use Simple Joys by Carter’s. I use these just as much as the burp cloths! These are perfect for burping and great used as a changing pad.

Clothes/Hangers

When you first bring your baby home, you want to dress your baby in all the cute clothes that you received from your baby shower. It is so exciting to dress a baby and it is even more fun to buy all the fun little baby clothes. But let me tell you. You will not use all these clothes. Your baby will probably live in sleepers, like mine did. The brand that I love right now is Burt’s Bees Baby Sleep and Play Pajamas. They are so soft and the zipper is very durable and smooth. They are also so cute with all kinds of different patterns. I would also recommend to ask for newborn size on your registry. A lot of people will buy 0-3m because babies grow out of newborn clothes so fast. Well everyone bought me 0-3m clothes and I didn’t have any newborn. My first born was in newborn clothes for a month, so it’s really important to ask for newborns also. You need to also ask for hangers!! I love the Amazon Basic Velvet Hangers. A lot of people don’t think to ask for baby hangers but they forget how little baby clothes are. I always buy a mother-to-be hangers when I go to a baby shower.

Diaper Bag/Diapers

I use the BabbleRoo Diaper Bag Backpack. This diaper bag is so roomy and easy to keep organized with all the different pockets. I also highly recommend buying a backpack. It is very nice to go out and have my hands free to do whatever I need to do. It’s super cute also and my husband doesn’t mind wearing it!

If you are looking for affordable diapers, I use Amazon Brand – Mama Bear Gentle Touch Diapers. They are very soft and absorbent!

Pacifiers/Teething

The pacifier my girls like to use is the Philips Avent Soothie Pacifier. It has the benefit of being similar in shape to their bottles on top of being super affordable. The teething toys that my babies like to use is Angelbliss Baby Teething Toys. It’s a cute little box of teething toys that are easy to hold.

Baby Chair

This item is a MUST! The final baby product you must put on your registry is the Fisher-Price Portable Baby Chair. This chair will become your new best friend. My babies LOVE this chair. I bring it everywhere with me. It is somewhere they can be super comfortable and included.

Congratulations again on your precious baby! I hope this blog helped you when trying to find those perfect baby items to put on your registry. I know how overwhelming it can be. Just remember to take a deep breath and to enjoy the little things because it truly does go fast. Remember to create your registry if you haven’t already!
